What sealants do
Back teeth have deep grooves where food and plaque love to hide. Dental sealants in Salt Lake City cover those grooves with a thin protective coating, so it's harder for cavities to start.
They're especially helpful for kids and teens, whose new molars often have deep, cavity-prone grooves.
Who they help
- Kids as their permanent molars come in
- Teens with deep grooves in their back teeth
- Some adults who get cavities in the chewing surfaces
Quick and painless
We clean the tooth, paint the sealant onto the chewing surface and harden it. No needles and no drilling. Kids usually find it easy.
Sealants pair well with regular cleanings and good brushing at home.
