Orofacial myofunctional therapy in Salt Lake City

Simple exercises that help the muscles of the mouth and face rest and work the way they should.

What myofunctional therapy is

Orofacial myofunctional therapy in Salt Lake City helps retrain the muscles of the tongue, lips and face. The goal is healthy oral posture and breathing habits, like resting with lips closed, breathing through the nose and swallowing correctly.

It's a little like physical therapy for your mouth, built on guided exercises you practice at home.

Who you'll work with

Brooke Werhli, RDH, is a dental hygienist and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist on our team. She added myofunctional therapy to her skills so she could help patients build healthy muscle posture and airway habits.

Myo therapy can be part of care for kids and adults. For adults with snoring or sleep apnea, it may pair with our dental sleep medicine care.

What does therapy involve?

Simple exercises for the tongue, lips and face that you learn with Brooke and practice at home. We'll explain the plan for you before you start.
